Orinoco Delta is one of the last
ecological wonder in the world, unfortunately, not well
known due to a lack of comfortable hotels.
Tobé Lodge wants to be the first of ecological lodges to
come on, where protection of nature and Indians customs
suit with a safe and comfortable stay. |

Access:
Our bus
picks-up travelers at 8 AM. in Puerto Ordaz.
(Airport or hotel) and a 45 minutes road
transportation connect with our boat shuttle
in the small port of Piacoa.

information's or a special request.
Tobé Lodge is run by Arlette, a French
manager and a pretty chef, very strict for
meals and drinks. It makes the tour more
pleasant and exclusive.
The least
visited area of Venezuela is the Orinoco
River Delta with 16000 square miles is a
world of islands, canals and arms with an
impressive tense jungle vegetation where
transportation and communications between
Indians settlements depend of the waterways. |

Our
expedition will take us through a unique
vegetation untouched by man, altering rain
forest and “sabana”, lung of our planet. Riding
a strong pirogue (or curiara in local language),
we will meet the authentic Indians in their
communities: the Waraos. Far from modern
civilization, they still live their primitive
way of life. Skilled navigators, fishermen and
weavers, the Waraos build villages on stilts of
“moriche” palm trunks and use palm fiber for
making hammocks and baskets. |
The tropical flora
and a faun rich of animals, macaws, great
parrots, jaguars, crocodiles, monkeys, fishes,
snakes, freshwater dolphins, reveal the variety
of the Delta.

Venezuela
offers numerous highlights with reliable access. The
Delta is now possible too and give to the visitors a
great experience of rain forest and jungle.
Take a quick moment at the map. Tobé Lodge is located at
the right center, close to the ocean. It means no
mosquito's, due to the trade winds and the running
waters of the tide every 6 hours. A must for our stay.

small hotel Posada situated in the right center
of the Delta Orinoco close where the huge River
meets the waters of the South Atlantic Ocean.

the surrounding nature just in front of the the
Indian settlement of San Francisco de Guayo.
